BMC panel air filter for the Porsche 911 997 Turbo, designed to replace the OEM filter in the vehicle's original airbox. Its filtration contains impurities as small as 7 microns, compared with the stated OEM figure of 10 microns.
The filter uses multilayer cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil and covered by epoxy-coated alloy mesh. It is pre-oiled, washable and can be regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
Full Moulding construction forms the red filter from a single mould without welded joints. Its rubber provides adhesion to different airbox shapes and the alloy mesh protects against petrol fumes and oxidisation caused by air humidity.
