The earlier filter has enough media to withstand a 10,000k service and matches the early factory oil filter design.
This superseding filter (Z926) has 50% more filtering media, to match the newer Mazda Filter design,
The Z926 does not have the anti-drain back valve of the earlier Z4376 as it was deemed unnecessary.
