The pump should have a 20- to 40-micron fuel filter between the tank and pump. Almost all applications also require a 10-micron post-filter between the pump and fuel rail; placing only a 10-micron filter before the pump is not recommended.

Its all-metal shell has 10mm x 1mm threaded inlet and outlet connections. Applications include replacement of faulty inline pumps, EFI upgrades from mechanical pumps and vehicles needing higher fuel flow without an in-tank pump.
